Salzburg, the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, will dazzle you with its enchanting Baroque scenery, its fortress, cathedral and castle. This magnificent setting hosts numerous cultural and musical events of international renown every year.

The International Choral Festival “Meet Mozart” combined with the “International Festival of Song, Music and Culture”, which has existed since 2015, takes place in the large hall of the Mozart Foundation, which is also the venue for the “Salzburg Festival“.

This cultural and musical festival is open to all choirs of all categories, as well as to other ensembles: folk dance groups with live music, orchestras and other musical groups (jazz band, brass band). The repertoire is free, all styles of music are allowed and there is no compulsory piece.

The two highlights of the festival are the joint concert in the University of Salzburg and the open-air performance in the Mirabell Garden. The proceeds from the concerts are donated to a designated charity. You will also discover Salzburg on foot: the Old Town (listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997) with its maze of noarrow  streets, high and narrow facades and picturesque shops. You will see the Baroque Residence (former palace of the archbishops), St. Rupert’s Cathedral, the religious heart of the city, Mozart’s birthplace, St. Peter’s Church.

Don’t hesitate to join choirs and musical groups from other countries to share the love of singing and music in a renowned venue!
