14th International Choral Festival in Nice, French Riviera

The city center of Nice on the French Riviera has recently been classified as a Unesco Heritage Site. Take advantage of your participation in the festival to see or revisit this endearing city and meet choirs from other countries and cultures.

Albert Tosan, conductor of the Voix de Nice and Choeur de La Roche choir invites you to share great moments. Festival open to amateur choirs of all levels (children, young people and adults, Female, Men, Mixed) with a repertoire of classical music, preferably sacred, Gospel or Negro Spiritual for Saint Joseph Church.

Program 4 days / 3 nights :

Thursday – Nice

Arrival in the afternoon and accommodation at hotel.

Opening Ceremony of the Festival  at the Nice Regional Conservatory of Music (depending the number of participants)

In the evening, dinner in the restaurant, then free time for a stroll on the famous “Promenade des Anglais” which borders the Bay of Angels.

Overnight at the hotel.

Friday – Nice

Breakfast at hotel.

09h00–12h00 : meet at hotel an English speaking guide and panoramic tour of Nice, ending with a walking tour in the Old Nice. Go along “Promenade des Anglais”, with “Belle Epoque” monuments as the prestigious hotel Negresco, Orthodoxe Church, then the Cimiez hill with its Franciscaine Church and the Roseraie, the Archeolocal site of the Roman Arenas and Matisse Museum. In the old city, you will love the colored houses, the narrow streets and smal places and the famous Flower market.

Free lunchtime.

14h00 : visit of the Fragonard Perfumery Factory-store in EZE. Visiting places. Panoramic view point from Eze on the coast and Nice (Duration: around 2h30 – according to the number of participants).

Free end of the afternoon: possibility to visit the Palais Lascaris, musical instruments museum located in Old Nice. Other suggestions for visits and excursions on request.

Free dinnertime.

Evening, friendly concert with a local choir in a church in Nice, followed by a friendship drink.

Back to hotel.

Saturday – Nice

Breakfast at hotel.

Free morning.

Free lunchtime.

Afternoon, Choral Festival, in the presence of Albert Tosan, Choirmaster of the Voices of Nice. The participating choirs sing in the Saint Joseph Church in Nice (duration 20 to 30 minutes (Duration according to number of participants) for each choir (including the up and down stage) in front of the Nice City public.

The festival ends with the common song “Canticorum Jubilo” (Handel) and the graduation ceremony.

Evening, Closing dinner for all participants in a typical restaurant with Nice cuisine

Overnight at hotel.

Sunday- Back home or extension

Breakfast at hotel.

Check-out from hotel and back home with your coach or transfer to airport. Possibility to participate in a local Mass.
