Barcelona : International Choir Festival

Workshops of your choice: information on request (for a one week stay)

Basic program (subject to variation):

• • Free mornings for visiting Barcelona and its surroundings by your own or with a private guide (with supplement): visit the Gothic quarter and its Cathedral, the Ramblas, the port, the beach, the facades of Anton Gaudi’s buildings, Parc Guell, the Sagrada Familia…
  • Afternoon workshops: around 400 participants, Catalans and from around the world, are expected to take part in this event.
  • Participation in 2 performances: a concert in the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Pi, another concert in the immediate vicinity of Barcelona
  • Visit the Sagrada Familia with a short concert
  • Closing concert in the modern style Hall of the “Palau de la Música Catalana”. Followed by a reception organized at the Town Hall.

Barcelona, the capital of Catalonia, is a dynamic Mediterranean city with a population of three million inhabitants. Created by the Romans, the city underwent several invasions of the Visigoths, Arabs and Franks, who formed its identity. Barcelona has an international port where cruise ships stop. In Barcelona, you can visit many sites and monuments: Gothic quarter and its Cathedral, Ramblas, port, beach, some facades of Anton Gaudi, Parc Guell, Sagrada Familia, Montjuic and Tibidabo park from where you will have a magnificent view of the city.

This festival will allow you to meet formations from other countries with different cultural traditions. You will sing several times during concerts with the main moment being the concert at the “Palau de la Musica Catalana” in presence of representatives of the city of Barcelona.
