3rd International Choral Festival in Sicily, Italy

You want to change your habits? Enjoy wonderful encounters with other choirs in Sicily! Enjoy this island with its diverse cultures and landscapes, discover other groups from countries steeped in other musical traditions. This international festival is dedicated to amateur choirs: polyphonic choirs, Gospel choirs, men’s, women’s or mixed choirs, youth choirs, Alpine choirs, parish choirs and children’s choirs.

You will have the opportunity to sing your songs and present your repertoire and culture/tradition in front of a warm audience. Three concerts will be organized in beautiful baroque churches in the region of Catania, Messina, Acireale and Taormina. Local Sicilian choirs will also be present.

Each choir will present its own program (religious/sacred because the venues will be churches). It is expected that each choir will sing “a cappella,” or accompanied by an organ or other musical instrument. A church organ should be provided in each church. If the church organ cannot be used, it will be replaced by an electric piano. Any other musical instrument may be brought by each choir.

At the end of the festival, all choirs will sing a joint song, for which you will receive the music.

The choirs will stay in 3-star or 4-star hotels with half-board.

PROGRAMME

Thursday 30.10.2025

Arrival possible for choirs who wish. Transfer to the hotels. Dinner at the hotel. Depending on your arrival time, possibility of organizing an optional excursion to the famous Etna Volcano.

Friday 31.10.2025

Breakfast for those arriving. Arrival of other choirs imperatively in the morning (no later than 1:00 p.m.). Lunch at the hotel. Free afternoon. Free dinner. In the evening, opening concert of the Festival with the participation of local choirs. Night at the hotel

Saturday 01.11.2025

Breakfast. Free morning. Possibility of organizing an optional excursion to Syracuse, Catania, Etna, Gole Alcantara… Lunch at the hotel or packed lunch. In the evening, 2nd concert with the participation of local choirs. Free dinner. Overnight at the hotel.

Sunday 02.11.2025

Breakfast at the hotel. Free morning. Possibility of organizing an optional excursion to Syracuse, Catania, Etna, Gole Alcantara, etc. Lunch at the hotel. In the evening, closing concert of the festival with the participation of local choirs. At the end of the concert, the official presentations of the choirs will be made in the presence of local authorities. Free dinner. Overnight at the hotel.

Monday 03.11.2025

Breakfast. Departure of the choirs. Depending on your departure time, an optional excursion may be organized. Transfer by local coach from the hotel to Catania airport.
