Trip to Athens

Take advantage of a stay in Athens, a land steeped in history and a host country to immerse yourself in Greek civilization and meet a local choir for an exchange during a joint concert.

 

Day 1 – ATHENS (44 kms by local bus)

Arrival in Athens and welcome at the airport.

Local private coach transfer to the hotel and check-in to the rooms.

Lunch at the hotel or in a tavern.

Dinner and overnight at hotel. A room is at your disposal for an evening rehearsal.

 

Day 2 – ATHENS (15 kms by local bus)

Breakfast at hotel.

Morning, panoramic guided tour of Athens with private coach. Passage through the PANATHENIAN STADIUM, site of the first modern Olympic Games of 1896 (short stop); the Presidential Residence, guarded by traditional soldiers, the Evzones; the Zappéion (exhibition center). Continuation to the Temple of OLYMPIAN ZEUS, the National Garden, the Arch of Hadrian, the Anglican Church, the Parliament, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier (Evzones, Greek infantry), the Numismatic Museum (House of Schliemann), the Catholic Church, Academy, University, National Library, Constitution Square, Russian Church then ACROPOLIS (visit of the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Parthenon, and Erechtheion).

Lunch in a tavern, free time in the picturesque district of Plaka.

Return at 4:00 p.m. to the hotel.

Dinner and overnight at hotel. A room is at your disposal for an evening rehearsal.

 

Day 3 – ATHENS – CAP SOUNION – ATHENS (150 kms by local bus)

Breakfast at hotel.

Morning, departure for the temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounion, staying on the Athens coast (the capital’s riviera)

Lunch in a tavern.

Back to hotel by private coach around 3:00 p.m.

Free time.

Dinner and overnight at hotel. A room is at your disposal for an evening rehearsal.

Day 4 – ATHENS – ISLAND OF AEGINA – ATHENS (25 kms by local bus)

Breakfast.

At 8:00 am, transfer by private coach to the port of Piraeus, departure by boat to the island of Aegina, sea crossing (duration 1h15), free time in Aegina for free visit.

Lunch in a tavern.

Then return to Piraeus, return sea crossing (1h15), private coach transfer to the hotel.

Concert and meeting with a local choir (subject to availability).

Dinner and overnight at hotel.

 

Day 5 – ATHENS (44 kms by local bus)

Breakfast.

Private coach transfer to Athens airport.

End of on-site services. Back home.
