37th International Festival & Competition “Praga Cantat 2026 with Grand Prix” – Prague, Czech Republic

Enjoy and participation in this marvellous event gathering lots of choirs during this festival & competition “Praga Cantat with Grand Prix”. This year, you will be able to register in 3 categories in the competition.

More than 950 choirs coming from 43 different countries have already participate in the past editions. This event is open to all choral groups, whether they are established or just starting out. You will have the opportunity to present your program to a jury of experts who will evaluate your performance and provide recommendations to help you improve.

 

Program:

Thursday: arrival in Prague and accommodation at hotel. Evening, choir master and 1 or 2 persons per choir, will take part in the welcoming reception. Free dinnertime. Overnight at hotel.

 

Friday: breakfast at hotel. 10:00 am: Official Opening Ceremony of Festival, concert of the Cancioneta Praga Choir. Free lunchtime. Afternoon: competition in all categories and performance of choirs registered in the festival category. 9:00 pm: anouncement of the selected choirs for the Competition of the Grand Prize. Free dinnertime. Overnight at hotel.

 

Saturday: breakfast at hotel. 9:00 pm: walking guidded tour of Prague including the Castle of Prague (entrances and transfers in supplement and on request). Free lunchtime. 2:00 pm: Competition of Grand Prix (National House in Vinohrady). 8:00 pm: Closing Ceremony and Trophy presentation, common songs and performance by the Grand Prix winner. 9:00 pm: Dance party at the National House. Free dinnertime. Ovenight at hotel.

 

Sunday: breakfast at hotel. End of you stay and back home by your own.
